It’s hard to get motivated to work on a winter activity based site during the summer, but now that the days are growing shorter and the nights are getting cooler we’re putting a little work into the site again.

Over the last couple of days we’ve overhauled the look of the site by improving on our logo and changing site’s themes to a cleaner easier to maintain and improve template. We’ve updated the look on most of the pages throughout the site except for the actual link directory. We’re still working to improve that. Thanks to the guys over at artViper and their Website thumbnails project, we now have larger thumbnails to really give you a feel for the site listed. Right now we’re trying to rebuild the structure of the actual database from the ground up to be easier to maintain and improve. The existing setup is very rigid and we like flexibility.

Again if you have any suggestions, or comments, please feel free to contact us. We’re always open to input from our users.

And for those who like to think about what was, here is a screen capture of our site just prior to the recent appearance overhaul.

Welcome to Sledder Links, a new site for snowmobile enthusiasts to find and share links to their favorite snowmobiling sites. Over the past several years I have worked on several snowmobile related web sites and was always disappointed at the limited snowmobile directories. I set out to make a directory that was clean, simple to use, and had great organization. So what makes this directory stand out from the rest? We have organized the links into categories and we even allow you, the guests, to suggest categories. All of our listings also include an image of the homepage. Anyone is welcome to add a link and we actually encourage you to do so. This directory is for all snowmobile enthusiast to share their own sites or sites they visit frequently.

We are still working on our logo and hope to update it shortly. In addition, we’re looking into enhancing the link details, so if you have any suggestions we welcome them. One of the changes we’re going to work on is getting a larger homepage capture. If you have any suggestions to improve this site, please let us know.
